"These Grooves We Shape" arose out of my sons’ insatiable fondness for short dance songs. My beloved wife & I turned their interests into a fun family summer bonding project❣️
3-year-old Elyas constantly quality-checked the beat development with his mad quick footwork skills.
11-year-old Eloy kept bringing the heat with new rhythm arrangements.
All of us played a role in the composition, while I took care of the various vocals, production, and design elements.
Here’s hoping you like it, share it, dance to it, and feel motivated by it to act and advocate for each other. 🕊

Vocals: 100% Acapella. Absolutely everything you hear is my voice.
Graphics: 227 unique kaleidoscope images in the lyric video. No frame is the same. Every down beat gives you a new custom designed kaleidoscopic perspective of a nature scene I photographed in MN years ago.
Tempo/Length: 3 minutes at 135 BPM. (Did I mention the kids love short dance songs?)
Genre: Melodic House & Techno + Conscious Hip-Hop & Rap. (Inspired by some the family’s favorite music artists including Kiff - Cast, will.i.am, Dua Lipa, and Tiësto)
The Tech Stack: Audio recorded with a Blue Yeti, audio arranged in Pro Tools, audio mixed in Dolby Atmos, image designed in GIMP, and video designed in DaVinci Resolve.
